ᎣᏏᏲ ᎡᎶᎯ! (Hello, world!)

I’m a PhD candidate in the Shyam Dev Patwardhan Department of Philosophy at the University of Oklahoma (in my beloved home state). Prior to entering the lucrative field of academia, I was a securities trader at Goldman Sachs. Before that, I double majored in Political Science and Native American Studies at Columbia University.

I research dysfunctional markets, exploring ways to make them work better. This includes my dissertation project, which argues for a teleological view of financial markets, distinguishing them from markets for goods and services by their focus on managing risk and fostering growth. I also collaborate with medical researchers on projects that address issues such as drug pricing, representation of underrepresented communities in medical research, and the development of screening tools.

In 2023, I spent a year as the Associate Director for the Center for Ethics in Society at Saint Anselm College. There, I worked on issues related to zoning and affordable housing, ethics in business, and public/K-12 philosophy.
